Friday evening, The Buttonwood Tree in Middletown hosts New
England’s comedy rock band the Coconuts. Saturday evening, it’s the Andrew Biagiarelli
Trio, along with bluegrass performed by My Girl My Whiskey & Me. The
Hearing Voices Network meets Monday at 10:30. Enjoy their photography exhibit,

In New Haven at Café Nine tonight/Wednesday, it’s Dean Falcone’s
Annual Thanksgiving Vomitorium. Friday’s Women in Music Happy Hour
features Vangie Durst, Alison Farrell and Kelly Kancyr. That’s followed by the
5th annual Black Friday Affair, headlining Sky Swamp Orange, appearing with
Paranormal Adam, Drop Kick Pop, and more. Saturday’s Jazz Jam Session is with
the George Baker Band, and the late show features Ports of Spain, and Jake
McKelvie & the Countertops. The Sunday Buzz Matinee has Frank Viele, George
Morgio, and Eric Nassau, and they round out the weekend with the George Lesiw

Cherry St. Station in Wallingford celebrates their Annual
Thanksgiving Eve Bash this evening/Wednesday. and their eighth annual

Infinity Hall hosts a Thanksgiving buffet on Thursday with two
settings. On Friday, you can enjoy bluegrass and folk with David Rawlings and

Wesleyan Potters in Middletown celebrates their 62nd annual

The Connecticut Historical Society invites you to their ongoing
exhibit, Visions/Revisions: The Print Transformed, celebrating the 25th
anniversary of the Printmaker’s Network of Southern New England. Or check out

On a somber note, this Sunday at 2pm at the Buttonwood Tree, there
will be a memorial service to Remember, Honor, and Celebrate the life of Viso
Ngozi Ãz-Ibo, Poet, family man, and host of Classik Az (sounds like Oz) which
broadcast late-night on Saturdays for nearly a decade. We will resurrect
his voice through some of the most significant and powerful recordings he left
behind from his WESU radio show and poetry performances. Calling all poets,
especially those who knew Viso, please bring a poem or two to share. There will
be opportunity for family, friends and acquaintances to share how much Viso
meant to all of us and express ourselves in his honor through the spoken word
he so dearly loved. For those who are not able to physically join us, the

Now here's a rundown of cinema off the beaten track in Central
Connecticut:
Hartford’s Real Art Ways continues the run “Loving Vincent,” a
painted animation about the life of Vincent Van Gogh, and “Jane,” a documentary
about conservationist Jane Goodall, through this evening/Wednesday. They also
continue “The Square,” a Scandanavian film about a museum curator’s existential

Trinity College’s Cinestudio in Hartford is screening “Victoria
and Abdul,” about an unusual friendship of Queen Victoria, all week. National

music history show that dives into the rise and phenonemon of cult sub-genres

A music show that plays songs that sample other songs.
From 1 - 2 am it's Unsure with Racha and SarBot. Each program we
cover a different topic through various forms of sonic media, whether with
lyrical to instrumental music, archival news and interviews, movie and TV

From 2 - 3 it's Well into the Eighties with Daniel Crippin.
Classic alternative music from WESU's extemsive vinyl archive paired with the
best in new indie rock.
From 3 - 4 it's Democracy Now! from Pacifica. Hosted by Amy
Goodman, Democracy Now! gives access to peopleand perspectives rarely heard in
the U.S. media, including journalists, rasstoos leaders, activists, artists,
academics and ordinatry people from around the world.
The BBC World News comes on board at 4am followed at 5 with
Morning Edition from NPR.
