Tonight at 8 at Infinity Hall in Hartford, they’ve got "The Weight" performing the music of THE BAND. On Saturday, Max Creek takes the stage, offering electric rock jam starting at 8. Tonight, the 29th Annual Holiday on Main Street festival begins in Middletown. The evening includes a tree lighting on the South Green at 6, the arrival of Santa by horse and carriage, the Middletown High School Marching Band performs, and the evening concludes with a tree lighting at Eli Cannon’s lighting at 8:15. At The Buttonwood Tree here in Middletown, tonight at 8 you can hear the Omar Tamez Quartet play their unique blend of jazz and traditional Mexican music. On Saturday, the Buttonwood celebrates its new Steinway piano with a Musical Offering by Carolyn Halsted, playing Bach, Beethoven and more, at 7:30. Every Monday morning, the Hearing Voices Network meets at the Buttonwood at 10:30 a.m. "Beyond Visible," a meditative photographic exhibit by Emily Zeitlin and Scotty Giffen, continues through the week. At Real Art Ways in Hartford, the run of Citizenfour, Laura Poitras’ documentary of the events of the Edward Snowden security leak, continues. Also continuing is Diplomacy, a French drama about Hitler’s plan to destroy Paris in WWII. Opening tonight is BFFS, a female buddy comedy about posers in a weekend couples retreat. All continue through the weekend. On Saturday they’re showing the Internet Cat Video Festival, for cat lovers of all ages. On Sunday at 2 there’s a one time event, Holbrook/Twain: An American Odyssey, with the award-winning show Mark Twain Tonight and a post-film discussion with director Scott Teems. At Cinestudio, Trinity College’s cinema in Hartford, tonight through Sunday you can see "Boyhood," a film that follows a boy in his journey from childhood to adulthood. On Sunday they open Rome, Open City, a restored ultra high definition version of the 1945 classic about Italian resistance fighters being hunted by the Gestapo, which continues through next week. Coming in at 6 it's a half-hour with (1,3,5) Argus News Radio on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Fridays of the month with campus and Middletown news, from our microphones to your ears and on the 2nd and 4th Fridays it's Ear-Candy with DJ Sick Nelden
where you hear the newest in Indie Rock, through the lens of pop and the absurd.
Then from 6:30 to 7pm listen to the Middletown Youth Radio Project - A weekly radio program featuring the thoughts, voices, creativity and talent of the kids in the WESU neighborhood.

At 7 until 8:30pm we have the Universal Sound Wave with Sistah Tee - Informing listeners about local and global issues with health, nutrition, and stress reduction tips, featuring a wide range of music including African, reggae, gospel, R&B, Latin, and blues.

Next up until 10pm, we take it
 From the Otherside with 
Rok-A-Dee - The Voice of Hartford, including local artists from Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He also features upcoming artists performing Caribbean R & B, Soca and international music.

Then at 10pm we go

At Midnight until 3am Saturday we go into OVERDRIVE with Clarence Scott and Shantay Scott - offering Urban Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Traditional gospel music.

At 3, it's Bassment Beats with DJ LOKASH, celebrating its 10th year of bringing you the latest in aboveground & underground hip-hop mixed live; followed by his New World Show, with the best in Global Bass mixed live til 4. Baila coño!

Sing Out! Radio Magazine with Tom Druckenmiller comes on at 4 until 5am with a weekly, hour-long “magazine format” program, featuring interviews in addition to “live” and recorded traditional folk musics.

le. Come join DJ Cole for some hip-hop and movie talk. The show features an eclectic mix of contemporary and old school hip-hop, ending with a discussion about films featuring rap artists and music created by those artists.
And at 2:30-4am it's In the Mix with WillTech. "In the Mix" aims to bring the best in trance, house, and deep house to the Wesleyan and Middletown community.

On Friday, the 29th Annual Holiday on Main Street festival takes place in Middletown, starting with a Holiday Train Exhibit at 11 at Amato’s Toy & Hobby.  There’s an Open House at the Mansfield House at 2, food, hot chocolate, and hayrides, and a carol sing. At the Buttonwood Tree, here in Middletown, On Friday at 8 you can hear the Omar Tamez Quartet play their unique blend of jazz and traditional Mexican music.  On Saturday, the Buttonwood celebrates its new Steinway piano with a Musical Offering by Carolyn Halsted, playing Bach, Beethoven and more, at 7:30. Every Monday morning, the Hearing Voices Network meets at the Buttonwood at 10:30 a.m.  “Beyond Visible,” a meditative photographic exhibit by Emily Zeitlin and Scotty Giffen, continues through the week.  www.buttonwood.org

 At Real Art Ways in Hartford, the run of “Citizenfour,” Laura Poitras’ documentary of the events of the Edward Snowden security leak, continues through Wednesday.  Also continuing is “Diplomacy,” a French drama about Hitler’s plan to destroy Paris in WWII. They’re closed on Thanksgiving.  On Friday they start a run of “Pelican Dreams,” Emmy-Award-winner Judy Irving’s documentary that follows a California brown pelican from an arrest on the Golden Gate Bridge to care at a rehabilitation facility.  Also opening is “BFFs,” a female buddy comedy about posers in a weekend couples retreat.  Both continue through the weekend. On Saturday they’re showing the Internet Cat Video Festival, for cat lovers of all ages. On Sunday at 2 there’s a one time event, “Holbook/Twain: An American Odyssey,” with the award-winning show “Mark Twain Tonight” and a post-film discussion with Director Scott Teems. www.realartways.org

At Cinestudio, Trinity College’s cinema in Hartford, the run of “The Blue Room,” a French crime drama based on the novel by Georges Simenon, continues through Tuesday.  Wednesday through Sunday you can see “Boyhood,” a film that follows a boy in his journey from childhood to adulthood. On Sunday they open “Rome, Open City,” a restored ultra high def version of the 1945 classic about Italian resistance fighters being hunted by the Gestapo, which continues through next week.  www.cinestudio.org.
