rundown of nighttime programming here on 88.1 FM WESU Middletown. By day, WESU
offers talk radio from NPR and Pacifica, as well as independent and local public
affairs sources. Weeknights and weekends our student and community volunteers
bring you the best in free-form programming.

Tonight at The
Buttonwood Tree in Middletown its Crystal Bowl Sound Healing. Enjoy New
England’s comedy rock band on Friday with The Coconuts. Saturday evening, it’s
the Andrew Biagiarelli Trio, along with bluegrass performed by My Girl My
Whiskey & Me. The Hearing Voices Network meets Monday at 10:30. Enjoy their

At the Russell Library
in Middletown, it’s a short week with an Origami workshop this evening. On

Nine tonight, they their bill
feature The Forest Room, CJ Boyd, and The Singing Tesla Coils. On Wednesday
it’s Dean Falcone’s Annual Thanksgiving Vomitorium. Friday’s Women in
Music Happy Hour features Vangie Durst, Alison Farrell and Kelly Kancyr. That’s
followed by the 5th annual Black Friday Affair, headlining Sky Swamp Orange,
appearing with Paranormal Adam, Drop Kick Pop, and more. Saturday’s Jazz Jam
Session is with the George Baker Band, and the late show features Ports of
Spain, and Jake McKelvie & the Countertops. The Sunday Buzz Matinee has
Frank Viele, George Morgio, and Eric Nassau, and they round out the weekend

Black-Eyed Sally’s, every Tuesday, you
can see Michael Palin's Other Orchestra get funky with their take on jazz,
R&B, and soul classics. On Wednesday, it’s the Dead & Co. Jam Party
featuring The Dead Show cover band. It’s Liviu’s Invitational on Thursday, and
on Friday you can enjoy rock ‘n’ soul with Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez.

Wallingford celebrates their Annual Thanksgiving Eve Bash on Weds. And their
eighth annual Farquharson Fund event on Friday with a great lineup of heavy

Infinity Hall hosts a
Thanksgiving buffet on Thursday with two settings. On Friday, you can enjoy

Historical Society invites you to their ongoing exhibit, Visions/Revisions: The
Print Transformed, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Printmaker’s Network

objects connected to our state’s material culture, happening every Saturday.

On a somber note, this
Sunday at 2pm at the Buttonwood Tree, there will be a memorial service to
Remember, Honor, and Celebrate the life of Viso Ngozi Ãz-Ibo, Poet, family man,
and host of Classik Az (sounds like Oz) which broadcast late-night on Saturdays
for nearly a decade. We will resurrect his voice through some of the most
significant and powerful recordings he left behind from his WESU radio show and
poetry performances. Calling all poets, especially those who knew Viso, please
bring a poem or two to share. There will be opportunity for family, friends and
acquaintances to share how much Viso meant to all of us and express ourselves
in his honor through the spoken word he so dearly loved. For those
who are not able to physically join us, the gathering will be live streaming on

Hartford’s Real Art
Ways continues the run “Loving Vincent,” a painted animation about the life of
Vincent Van Gogh, and “Jane,” a documentary about conservationist Jane Goodall,
through Wednesday. They also continue “The Square,” a Scandanavian film about a

Right after the jive at Five stay tuned nearly three hours of Acoustic Blender with Bill Revill offering an
eclectic selection of new and older folk, Americana, bluegrass, blues and other
music that has a roots influence with a concert listing at 7pm and frequent
concert and festival ticket giveaways. Tonight, Connecticut guitarist
extraordinaire, Dana Merritt will be live in the studio with Bill. Keeping with
tradition, it’s likely you can count on Bill to include some version of the
Holiday Classic, Alice’s Restaurant.
At 8pm, The Voice of the CITY with J-Cherry offers a weekly
dose of live and local Connecticut arts and music.
From 9-10pm it’s The Test Patterns Show with Chaim
O'Brien-Blumenthal
At 10pm it’s Wes Sports and Beyond with DJ Steven featuring
Sports Talk and interviews.
From 11-midnight stay tuned for Dumpster Dive with DJ Smelly

at 4am we bring you BBC's world report before we kick off
our Tuesday morning programming with Morning Edition from NPR at 5am.
