Good evening, it's Monday, May 21st.
This is the Jive at Five, our daily community calendar and rundown of nighttime
programming here on 88.1 FM WESU Middletown. By day, WESU offers talk radio
from NPR and Pacifica, as well as independent and local public affairs sources.
Weeknights and weekends our student and community volunteers bring you the best
in free-form programming.
I’m Maria Johnson, producer and host of 'Reasonably Catholic: Keeping the Faith,' which this summer, while Wesleyan is on break, airs every Tuesday, from 4 to right before the Jive at Five. Tomorrow: a visit with bestselling novelist J. Courtney Sullivan, whose fourth novel, Saints for All Occasions, is a funny/sad multigenerational epic steeped in Irish Catholicism. I'll also play a bit of audio from my visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's current exhibit, 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,' which I'm still trying to get my brain around. Can't listen live? Find the audio archived tomorrow evening at www.reasonablycatholic.com.
