Tomorrow/Thursday at the Buttonwood Tree in Middletown brings you Bob Gotta’s Acoustic Open Mic. Story city Troupe takes the stage on Friday. On Saturday morning they host the Aligned With Source Workshop, and in the evening it’s a double bill with guitarists/composers Hiroya Tsukamoto and Dana Merritt, who bring along story-telling and poetry too. On Sunday afternoon it’s more stories from NEAR and Far Storytellers with Jim Harriman and Carolyn Stearns, including an Open Mic session. The WESU Fall Community Record Fair happens this Sunday October 8th from 11am - 4pm at Wesleyan’s Fayerweather-Beckham Hall, 55 Wyllys Ave Middletown, CT 06457. The event features dozens of record dealers from across the northeast, selling tens of thousands of new & used records CDs, cassettes, music memorabilia & more. Plus there will be WESU gear for sale and as always.... WESU DJs will be spinning vinyl sets, all day long! It is free to attend but for $5, early birds can gain admission between 10-11am and beat the crowd. WESU Community Record Fairs are biennial fundraising events that WESU depends on to help pay the bills. We hope to see you there!
