hosts a conversation on Sunday with Mindie Barnett and Beth Wilson-Parentice
presenting books about taking charge of your life. On Monday, they hold an Educators’

In New Haven, Café Nine’s weekly Friday Happy
Hour happening right now features DW Ditty. Tonight’s late show brings you the
jazz of Steve Davis. Tomorrow’s weekly afternoon Jazz Jam session is with the
George Baker Band, followed by a “Grime, Grime” release show featuring Jules
Baxter, Sotorios, Googie, and much more. The Sunday Buzz Matinée features

70’s Project takes you back to that decade, and tomorrow, it’s another

Also in Harford, The Arch Street Tavern in
Hartford brings you the psychedelic cowpunk band, Moon Matrix of the Lizard
People, tomorrow. The Cedar Hill Cemetery sponsors a Mushroom Walk tomorrow morning
at 10 am, and West Indian Girls Rock holds an all-day white party, Blanc, in the
evening at Heaven Skatepark. The Hartford Mindfulness Center holds guided

The Russell Library in Middletown hosts the
Ryan Woods Autism Foundation tomorrow for a session on training parents in
individualized education plans for 2020. If someone you know is home insecure,

The Middletown Arts & Culture Office
invites you to learn more about crystalline glazes at a Crystal Ball Workshop

Terzakis Trio performs at Conspiracy tonight. And the Wadsworth Mansion holds

Hartford’s Real Art Ways continues “Maiden,” a
documentary of the first ever all-female crew to enter a round-the-world yacht
race, “The Farewell,” an uplifting tale of a family saying goodbye to their
dying grandmother, and “Mike Wallace Is Here,” an unflinching look at the

showing “Yesterday,” about as a

Right after the Jive, it’s Grand Central Station with DJ Jenny Doll, inviting you to
travel back in time to the 1940's and 1950's with a swinging upbeat show filled
with big band, jazz, swing, and rockabilly.
From 7-9 pm, The Universal Sound Wave
with Sista Queen T., offers a wide range of music including African, reggae,
gospel, R&B, Latin, and blues. Plus health, nutrition, and stress reduction
tips.
From 9:00-10pm board the Train to
Skaville with Brian Tomsic who brings out the best hits of the ska era of
popular Jamaican music, as well as highly sought after obscure releases.
From 10-midnight, stay tuned for
Mentaltown with The Ultimate Emcee El Vee, presenting 2 hrs of Local Unsigned
Hip Hop artists.
From 12:00-3am, stay tuned for
Overdrive with Clarence and Shantay Scott. Praising God with a unique mix of
urban contemporary, hip hop, and traditional gospel music.
Rounding out the evening and swinging
into the morning from 3-5am it’s Louisiana Barn Dance from Pacifica, and then
we kick off our Saturday programming from 5-6 with BBC World Report.
