Fri, Jan 31 jive

Good evening, it's Friday, January 31st. This is the Jive at Five, our daily community calendar and rundown of nighttime programming here on 88.1 FM WESU Middletown. By day, WESU offers talk radio from NPR and Pacifica, as well as independent and local public affairs sources. Weeknights and weekends our student and community volunteers bring you the best in free-form programming.

I'm Maria Johnson, letting you movie fans know that you can find a way-cool Oscar roundup, featuring two veteran film critics agreeing, disagreeing, and making predictions in time for you to see more films before the Feb. 9th Oscar telecast, at reasonablycatholic.com.

Speaking of way-cool, how about supporting this way-cool radio station? With over 85% of our funding goal met, and just under $3,500 left to raise, we are still asking WESU listeners to step up to the plate to support the service we provide.  If you are in a position to help but haven't yet supported WESU with a donation, please give what you can and check out our great thank you gifts online at www.wesufm.org/pledge. Every dollar counts and we need to hear from you!
