At the
Buttonwood Tree in Middletown tonight Connecticut’s purveyors of American roots
music – Stacy Phillips and His Bluegrass Characters - perform. On Saturday morning it’s the Aligned With Source
Workshop, and in the evening, The Lost Tribe with Jocelyn Pleasant brings you

New Haven’s Café Nine monthly Women in Song Happy Hour brings you Lys Guillorn and Julie Beman at 5pm today. Tonight it’s Ceschi (sounds like Chess-Key), Spoken Nerd, Quiet Entertainer, and more. The Saturday afternoon Jazz Jam Session is with the George Baker Band. Later it’s the Balkun Brothers, Chaser Eight, and This Criminal Soul. The Sunday Buzz Matinee brings you Carrie Johnson, Libby Johnson, and Nick Depuy, and they end the weekend with the George Lesiw Band Sunday evening. Details @ cafenine.com

Hawkins. The late afternoon weekend movie is Marie Curie: The Courage of Knowledge. Tonight they open Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World,
exploring the deep roots of Native Americans present in contemporary music

Right after the Jive At Five from 5:05 to 7pm, it'll be Free
Talk Radio with Al Robinson and Deni addressing news, politics,
entertainment & weather and featuring listeners’ call-ins.
At 7 until 8:30pm we have the Universal Sound Wave with Sistah Tee - offering listeners a wide
range of music including African, reggae, gospel, R&B, Latin, and blues.
Plus health, nutrition, and stress reduction tips.
Next up until 10pm, we take it From the Otherside with Rok-A-Dee where 60% of the show is love songs of different genre and the others Reggae Dancehall, R&B, and new artiste.
Then from 10 to 11:30pm it's Strickly Off the Head where DJ Commotion the Music Mixologist provides a live mixshow done on the fly or freestyle, with no pre-planned mixes or blends - R&B, old school, hip hop, rap and house.

Ministry covers the hour from 4 to 5am with a compendium of the best and newest
