Tonight (Thursday),
here in Middletown at The Wesleyan RJ Julia
Bookstore, NBA champion Ray Allen, will be in the house to sign his new
book, “From the Outside” a reflection on his years on and off the court.
Saturday night at 6pm, Their monthly discussion series broaches the theme of

Manic Presents the Squirrel Nut Zippers with The Let Loose

At the Russell Library in Middletown, this (Thursday) evening at Russell Library,
from 6:30PM-7:45PM in The Hubbard Room its: Women Center Stage with the
Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame. The library will be closed Friday for “Good

In New Haven, tonight,
Café Nine presents HI-FI RADIO, THIS CRIMINAL SOUL, and the JEFF WICKUN
BAND. At 5pm Friday, the Monthly Women
in Music Happy Hour spotlights LYNN MALAVOLTE, SHANNON MCMAHON, and DONNA
SANTALA. Later Friday night, THE STASH!
BAND takes the stage with opening act Ayrhill. Café Nine’s weekly Saturday
afternoon jazz jam will be hosted by Billy Cofrances at 4:30. Wise Old Moon
shares a bill with The Wolff Sisters.

Up in Hartford at Black-Eyed Sally’s, Its Liviu Pop’s Jazz
Invitational with special guests on Thursday
evenings. Friday night, Sally’s presents a night of blues/rock/country with The
Redliners. On Saturday you can catch the blues with The Mike Crandall Band
featuring Mike Williams. This Sunday, Sally’s features a special Easter “Soul”
brunch w/ Elsie & Tee. Featuring a Southern brunch menu and soulful jazz,

Tonight (Thursday)
at The Wadsworth Athenaeum in Hartford, the Docent Council 50th Anniversary
Lecture Series presents: James Meyer, curator at the National Gallery of Art,
who will survey the work of conceptual artist Sol LeWitt in celebration of what
would have been his 90th year. Admission is free and open to the public.
Saturday afternoon, they show The Corpse Bride to complement their current
exhibit, Gorey’s Worlds. Sunday The
Wadsworth presents an Easter Jazz Brunch with Sally Terrell and The Green Jazz

The Hearing Voices Network meets Monday morning. Through the end of

The Connecticut Historical Society invites you to their
ongoing exhibit, That’s Weird, of strange objects connected to our state’s

The Middletown City Council will vote on the proposal to name
the Performing Arts Center at MHS after long-time MHS Music Teacher & Band
Director Santo Fragilio at it’s April 2, 2018 meeting at 7 p.m. at the
Middletown City Hall. All interested residents along with Mr. Fragilio’s former
students, colleagues and fellow musician are welcome to attend and show their support.

Central Connecticut:
Tonight, Hartford’s Real Art Ways ends their run of Keep the
Change wherein autistic actors play the roles of autistic characters. Leaning
into the Wind: Andy Goldsworthy, continues through Sunday. Friday night Real Art Ways opens 2 films: The
China Hustle, a Wall St heist story and Journey’s End, based on R.C. Sherriff’s
celebrated 1928 play about life in the trenches during WWI. Friday RAW begins a
run of the new afternoon movie, Phantom Thread, set in the fashion scene of
post WWII London. Saturday at 11am
Their Film 101 series spotlights the 1955 French film noire , Bob le Flambeur

Tonight, Trinity College’s Cinestudio in Hartford begins a run
of Steven Spielberg’s “The Post” which explores the medias 1971 coverage of the

different artist, sub-genre, or time period each week.

feature local artists from different cities across the county. Each show will
focus on one city and feature mostly alternative rock artists.
2-3am (1,3,5) Modern French Touch with Sam A look at
France’s modern electro house scene, through the emergence of newly influential
French touch labels.
3-4am The Hour of Slack from the Church of The Subgenius.
At 4am We bring you the BBC World Report and we kick of
weekdays with Morning Edition from NPR From 5‑9am.
