Good evening, it's
Monday, January 29th. This is the Jive at Five, our daily community
calendar and rundown of nighttime programming here on 88.1 FM WESU Middletown.
By day, WESU offers talk radio from NPR and Pacifica, as well as independent
and local public affairs sources. Weeknights and weekends our student and
community volunteers bring you the best in free-form programming.
I’m Maria Johnson, producer and host of Reasonably Catholic: Keeping the Faith, which is now in its fifth year of bringing progressive-minded Catholicism and other topics you likely won't hear anywhere else, every first, third and fifth Tuesday from 4 to right before the Jive at Five. Tomorrow, a March Weekend in January. I brought my portable mic to two fantastic marches in New York City two weekends ago, one that drew 200,000 men women and children into the streets around Central Park, and another gathering, downtown, of Catholic feminists and the people who love them, who marched from Union Square to Sunday Mass at a terrific parish on 16th St. All in all, an enriching hope-giving weekend was had by all. Can't listen live? Find the audio archived tomorrow night at www.reasonablycatholic.com.
