of what’s going on in the community this weekend.
Tonight at The Buttonwood Tree in
Middletown, you can enjoy blues, psychedelic guitar, and more with Shane
Scarazzini & EightFingers. The Aligned with Source Workshop and Meditation
happens on Saturday morning, and a there’s a Teen Open Mic at 3 pm. The Saturday
evening show brings you Ringrose & Freeman offering Celtic music, fiddling,
and more. The Hearing Voices Network meets Monday mornings and you can enjoy
the art exhibit, Mystic Collages, by featured artist Flo Bartosiak, throughout

The Mac 650 Gallery & Artist
Co-Op in Middletown hosts Fred Carroll who presents The Collections, a display
of his artistic comics and shares commentary on life, politic, and more,

New
Haven’s Café Nine Friday
5pm Happy Hour performance features a Mike Damico Birthday Bash with Kriss
Santala and Lonesome Billy Calash. Tonight’s main event features Goodnight Blue
Moon with Stefanie Austin and The Palomino Club. Saturday’s weekly afternoon
Jazz Jam Session is with Tony Dioguardi & Friends. Saturday night they
feature tongue in cheek rockers, Satanicide, appearing with The Zambonis and
The Hymans. The Sunday Buzz Matinee is a St. Patrick’s Parade Fundraiser with
John McMillan, and the evening show’s got Elison Jackson, Cape Coma, and

Norfolk tonight presents The Guy Davis Trio. Saturday, they’ve got Kick, an
INXS tribute band. Infinity Hartford brings you Changes in Latitude, a
Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show tonight and on Saturday, it’s Riders on the Storm, a
Doors Tribute Band. On Sunday you can catch The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue. Details

Wesleyan Center for the Arts invites you to explore the Wesleyan Youth Gamelan
Ensemble, with classes starting Saturday at noon at World Music Hall. Children

Real Art Ways continues The Florida
Project, about a family in a budget motel near Disney World. Beginning
today are Rebels on Pointe, a
documentary about the drag group Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo and In Between, which tells the story of
three very different Palestinian women living together in Tel Aviv, as they try

Trinity College’s Cinestudio in Hartford continues
with Heat and Dust, a restored James
Ivory film about a woman’s trip to India to learn about her scandalous aunt.
The Bolshoi Ballet matinee series on Sunday presents Romeo and Juliet; and Wonderstruck,
based on the children’s book of the same name by author Brian Selznick, opens a

now let’s take a look at tonight’s programming on WESU and to be safe, it's

Right
after the Jive At Five from 5:05 to 6:30pm, it'll be Wild
Wild Live! with Babe and Beth expounding on
that Wesleyan music scene.
And
from 6:30-7pm catch the Middletown Youth Radio Project, a weekly radio
program featuring the thoughts, voices, creativity and talent of the kids in
the WESU neighborhood.
At 7
until 8:30pm we have the Universal
Sound Wave with Sista Queen T - offering a wide range of music including
African, reggae, gospel, R&B, Latin, and blues. Plus health, nutrition, and
stress reduction tips.
Next up until 10pm, we take it From the Otherside with Rok-A-Dee where 60% of the show is love songs of different genre and the others Reggae Dancehall, R&B, and new artiste.
Then from 10 to 11:30pm it's Strickly Off the Head where DJ Cocomotion the Music Mixologist provides a live mixshow done on the fly or freestyle, with no pre-planned mixes or blends - R&B, old school, hip hop, rap and house.

12:30pm until 3am Saturday we go into serious OVERDRIVE w/Clarence & Shantay Scott - offering the best urban
contemporary, hip hop, and traditional gospel music on the planet!
From 3 until 5am you are taken to Wonderland with DJ Cheshire Cat, who has a song in his heart, a chemical imbalance in his head and a musical library at his fingers. From krautrock to post-rock, grunge to garage, novelty to New Romantic, punk to prog, Wonderland has a place for it.

presenting traditional and contemporary music with a Celtic connection.

now that the coffee’s hot enjoy Caffé Italia
from 7:00 to 8:00am, serving up a slice of Italy every Saturday
morning. You don't have to speak Italian to taste it: just relax, listen, and
