The Buttonwood Tree in Middletown holds an Anything Goes Open Mic tonight, hosted by the
Terri and Rob Duo. There’s Laughter Yoga with Dawn on Tuesday, followed by a Crystal Bowl
Sound Healing. Thursday’s offering is Shaking the Tree, a Gong Bath and Sound Healing, and on
Friday Rice Jenkins presents Centennial Cole: 100 Years of Nat “King” Cole. The Aligned With
Source workshop happens Saturday morning, followed by All the Write Ways: A Workshop for
Self-Expression at 1 pm. Singer/songwriter Randy Moses brings his House of Moses LIVE band
to the Buttonwood on Saturday night, and on Sunday there’s a Reiki Share at 2 pm. You can

In New Haven, at Café Nine, Blue Note Mondays features the Nick Di Maria Trio. The Touro
Band and Plasm take the stage tomorrow, and on Wednesday it’s another session of Words &
Music. Thursday’s bill includes Dumlords, Haunted Continents, and Where The Wild Live.
Friday’s Happy Hour features Lynn Malavolti, and in the evening you can catch Grizzlor, TRVSS,
and Hylda. The Saturday Jazz Jam Session is led by the Café 9 All-Stars, followed by the late
show with Gutter Demons and Johnny Cab. The Sunday Buzz matinée brings you Jeff Przech,
Dennis Fancher, and more, and they round out the weekend later with Olive Tiger, Rosu Lup,

At Black-Eyed Sally’s in Hartford, their Jazz Mondays feature is a Peter Greenfogel Birthday Bash
tonight. Michael Palin’s Other Orchestra will bring you jazz, R&B, and soul classics on Tuesday.
The Community Blues Jam on Wednesday is with Tom Forst, and Liviu’s Invitational comes your
way on Thursday. On Friday they bring you pianist Anthony Geraci and the Boston Blues All
Stars, and it’s blues-based rock and roll on Saturday with Mambo Sons.

Up in Hartford, there’s a Kizomba Public Dance session tonight and tomorrow at 7 pm at Union
Station, and Monday Night Jazz continues at the Arch Street Tavern. Soul Warriors offers a
weekly Soul Grit session Tuesday evening at their Arbor Street Headquarters. Center Church
continues their Lunchtime Meditation on Wednesday at noon, and it’s Karaoke Night in the
evening at The Russell. Pratt Street hosts a pop- up pie session on Thursday from noon to 4 pm
to celebrate National Cherry Pie Day, and Haley in the Water preform Fleetwood Mac’s
“Rumours” at the Arch Street Tavern in the evening. The seven-week indoor music series at City
Place continues Friday at noon with Brandt Taylor, and in the evening the Knox Greenhouse
hosts an Urban Greenhouse Party with craft beer and a silent auction. You can catch The
Natural Soul and special guest Nikita Friday night at the Arch Street Tavern, and the Yard Goats
hold their 2020 auditions for a mascot Saturday afternoon at Dunkin’ Donuts Park. The Webster
hosts Gabriel and the Apocalypse, Jump the Fall, and more on Saturday night, and The

Friday they bring you No Mind/ Tales of Joy, and Chris Daly. They’re holding a Bloodroot

The Russell Library in Middletown hosts Scrabble Wednesday at 5 pm, and on Thursday at 5 pm
teens are invited to help create a Black History Month Collage. At 7 pm, Nick Bellatoni presents
“Long Journeys Home,” a series of intergenerational stories of indigenous life, and on Saturday
morning Faith Jackson hosts a Black History Month event including poetry, music, and special

Keurajian present on “Ungardening.” The CT Office of the Arts is holding a Teaching Artist
Workshop on Thursday at Oddfellow’s Playhouse, where Trenda Loftin will speak on
“Cultivating Equity & Inclusion.” Sounds & Scenarios, Pull the Curtain, Long Autumn and more
are performing at the MAC650 Gallery & Artist Co-Op on Friday evening. The Oddfellows
Playhouse Youth Theater holds a New Plays Festival on Saturday from 1-9 pm. Actors are

sound exhibition of Beethoven’s 9 th symphony daily at the Olin Library. The Ad Hoc Bach
collective presents Bach cantatas on Thursday at Memorial Chapel. The French 75 Dixieland Jazz
Band performs Sunday afternoon at The Russell House. You’re invited to purchase tickets for

Now here's a rundown of cinema off the beaten track in Central Connecticut:
Hartford’s Real Art Ways continues screenings of this year’s Oscar nominee shorts in the
categories of Animation and Live Action, and also continue the Oscar-winning film, “Parasite,”
through Thursday. Also continuing is “The Woman Who Loves Giraffes,” about the woman who
studied African wildlife before Jane Goodall and Dian Fossey. Upcoming openings include

Trinity College’s Cinestudio continues the run of “Kind Hearts and Coronets,” a restoration of
this 1949 black comedy about a serial killer aspiring to become a Duke, through Friday. Their

invited their 50 th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday to enjoy free screenings of “Yellow
