here on 88.1 FM WESU Middletown. By day, WESU offers talk radio from NPR and
Pacifica, as well as independent and local public affairs sources. Weeknights
and weekends our student and community volunteers bring you the best in

Friday night from 8 to 10 pm in Middletown, at the
Buttonwood Tree The Heather Pierson Acoustic Trio will play music ranging from
New Orleans traditional

Up in Hartford at Black Eyed Sally’s, it's the Wednesday
weekly Community Blues Jam hosted by Mark Nomad. Liviu’s Invitational plays on Thursday.
Friday , Mark Hummel’s Blues Survivors perform at Sally’s. Saturday night,

In New Haven, at Café Nine, tonight/Wednesday there's a Comedy Open Mic hosted by Dan Rice.
Thursday, Dany Laj and the Looks will headline a bill including Dusty Hat.
Friday’s weekly live music Happy Hour set is with Jenny Parrott. Later Friday Night, Fernando Pinto presents Tex-Mex star
Augie Meyers (Texas Tornados) & The Bandoleros along with Steve Mednick
& Hard Road. Café Nine Weekly Saturday afternoon Jazz Jam session is with
Garry Grippo and friends.
Saturday night’s main event is the Ideat Village Rock
Lottery Band Drawing which involves musicians being randomly grouped together
for a one-off gig and will have three weeks to practice and return on October
4th and 5th to perform for their challenge. At 9pm Saturday night, Café Nine
will host its 25th Anniversary Tribute to Pulp Fiction with Renegade Lounge.
The Café Nine Sunday Matinee brings The Grand Par Lauren Michaud and they round
out the weekend Sunday night with a bill featuring Dear Rabbit, Rickolous, An

At The State House in New Haven tonight/Wednesday night,
Adult Swim star David Liebe Hart will headline, a bill featuring performances
by Whatever Your Heart Desires, Fat Randy, and King Bongo.
Thursday, the state house will present Michael Nau with Erin
Durant, and S. G Carlson. Friday night The Statehouse features an assortment
psychedelic, folk, Americana, and indie rock with The Go Rounds, The Right

Tonight/Wednesday, the Arch Street Tavern brings Boo-Yah’s
weekly Free Funk.
Friday, the Bushnell Park Beer Garden happens from 4-8pm.
Later Friday night bring Improv Comedy to
the Sea Tea Comedy Theater. Friday and Saturday nights there will be
Full Moon Hike at Riverside Park.
Saturday the 24th Annual LEVAS Gospel Festival and Fair can
be found as well as Hartford’s Pride Festival 2019 from 12:00pm-6pm. The Small
State Great Beer event on Saturday features brews from various Connecticut

On Friday night, the College Street Music Hall will present

At the Space Ballroom tomorrow night, Manic Presents Lucy

Friday night, Barns Courtney plays at the Space Ballroom.
Premiere CONCERTS AND MANIC PRESENTS bring Deerhunter + Dirty Projectors to the

The Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore, hosts an evening event with
Elissa Altman on her book "Motherland" on Thursday and they will be
having a tag sale on Saturday.
Coming up this weekend, Wesleyan Potters is hosting a wire
weaving class with Joy Raskin, and
every Wednesday until October 23, they are also hosting a
tapestry weaving class.
At Infinity Hall in Hartford tonight/Wednesday you can catch
Jonny Lang, followed by Sister Hazel and
on Thursday and Friday, Boyfriend.

And at 3am, this
summer we'll be rebroadcasting the day's noon brodacst of Democracy Now! From
Pacifica.
And finally, rounding out the night from 4-5am is the BBC
World Report offering International news coverage and we kick off each weekday
at 5am with Morning Edition from NPR.
