in Middletown, Joe Flood takes the Buttonwood Tree stage on Friday with Songs
and Stories Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue(s). The Aligned with Source workshop
happens Saturday morning, and there’s a Teen Open Mic in the afternoon.
Washboard Slim & The Blue Lights brings you blues, jugband and rockabilly
Saturday night. Enjoy Rosie Warren’s art exhibit of abstracts throughout the

New Haven tonight, CafĂ© Nine brings you Robyn Hitchcock , and there’s a Record Release
Show Friday with Sarah Borges & The Broken Singles, appearing with Roses

late show’s got Ideat Village Rock Lottery. The Sunday Buzz Matinee features Richard
Buckner and Ponybird, and they round out the weekend in the evening with The

Place in New Haven hosts a Blacklight Glow Party on Friday with Altered Reality
and Panic on the Main Stage. They headline Zach deputy and the Yankees on

Hartford at Black-Eyed Sally’s tonight, it’s Liviu’s Jazz Invitational with

Manic
Presents is at the Space Ballroom in Hamden on Friday, headlining Ripe,
appearing with Joon. Saturday’s lineup includes Cute Is What We Aim For,

with the theme of “Mischief.” They’re at the College Street Music Hall tonight
with I’m With Her: Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O’Donovan, and The

the Russell Library in Middletown On Friday morning, catch Microsoft Word:
Beyond the Basics. The Friends Book Sale happens Friday through Sunday. On
Saturday afternoon you can enjoy Classical Harmonica with Jia-Yi He and his
String Quartet. On Sunday afternoon the Readers Theater presents “Church and

the stage on Saturday with Kerri Powers. You can enjoy funk and soul on Sunday
with An Evening with Booker T. Jones. At Infinity Norfolk, it’s alternative

Wesleyan Center for the Arts in Middletown invites you to free recital, Rags
and Riches for the Harpsichord, at Memorial Chapel on this evening at 6 pm.
There’s a performance of “Mr Burns, a post-electric play,” Friday through
Sunday at the CFA Theater. Enjoy a free guided tour of the Kahlil Robert Irving
Exhibition at the Zilkha Gallery on Saturday at 1 pm. And the Wesleyan

the Middletown Arts and Culture Calendar this week, the Community Foundation of
Middlesex County holds a Pre-Holiday Fun and Friendraiser at Chester
Marketplace on tonight at 5:30 pm. You can still make it over! Stroll the
booths, enjoy a glass of wine and take a chance on door prizes to benefit the
CFMC fund. The Middletown Recreation Department hosts Turkey Bingo for Everyone
Friday at 5 pm at the Senior & Community Center. And the Student Rock Band

Tonight at 6:30, the Russell Library
in Middletown hosts a showing of Veterans of Color.
Hartford’s
Real Art Ways continues the run of “Border,” a supernatural romantic thriller
about a border guard with a special superpower, and “On Her Shoulders,” an
award-winning documentary about 2018 Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad and
the story of genocide in Iraq. There’s a one-time showing of “Brewmaster,” a
love letter to beer, tonight. On Friday they open “Searching for Ingmar
Bergman,” a documentary of the famous Swedish director, and “Prospect,” a
sci-fi film that takes place on an alien moon. Check the website for details

Tonight,
Trinity College’s Cinestudio opens a two-day run of “Blaze,” inspired by the
songwriter who began the Texas outlaw music movement. On Friday, there’s a
showing Steven Spielberg’s classic “Jurassic Park.” “Degas – Passion for
Perfection,” will be screened Sunday as part of their Exhibition On Screen
series, and they also open “Wings of Desire,” a Wim Wenders film about

Jazzalicious Definition with DJ Stocks'n'Socks and MC McGee. Jazzalicious
travels through the history of jazz by highlighting a different artist,
sub-genre, or time period of each week.
From 1-2am, DJ Jackson
brings you the sonic hour - focusing on indie rock, prog pop, power pop, indie
pop, etcetera. The show will compare music from a previous generation with its
contemporaries.
Playing until 3 is What
The Funk with DJ Jagged Little Thrill and DJ Amoroso, exploring George Clinton's
concept of "the Funk," as it appears across genres and
generations.
From 3-4am is the Hour
Of Slack: Reverend Ivan Stang presents his own commentary, along with recorded
material from all SubGenius radio and stage shows, bands, ranters, media barrage
collage artists, and selections from the indie audio underground created by
various SubGenii and others.
Rounding out the night
from 4-5am is the BBC World Report offering International news coverage
and we kick off each weekday at 5am with Morning Edition from NPR.
