Good evening, it's Wednesday December 13th. This is the Jive at
Five, our daily community calendar and rundown of nighttime programming here on
88.1 FM WESU Middletown. By day, WESU offers talk radio from NPR and Pacifica,
as well as independent and local public affairs sources. Weeknights and
weekends our student and community volunteers bring you the best in free-form
programming.
I’m Bill Denert, producer and host of Thursday night's
Evening Jazz where "hearing is the best experience" and Connecticut's
number 1 Washington Nationals fan!
And I'm Donna Denert! We're so pleased that you've joined us! If
you are a regular listener, then you know its pledge drive time at WESU.
With over $18K left to raise by the end of the year, your donation will help us
pay the bills and end the seemingly endless barrage of pledge drive promos and
pitches. Clearly, you find value in this service or you would have already
tuned out. Many folks like yourself tune in each and every day to WESU to
hear public affairs and musical perspectives not found elsewhere, yet only a
few hundred actually help sustain this station. Keep listener supported free
form community radio alive and well at WESU. Make a tax deductible year end
donation today you can do that atwww.WESUFM.org/pledge where you can also check
out our great new thank you gifts!
