Thursday's Jive

Good evening, it's Thursday December 21st. This is the Jive at Five, our daily community calendar and rundown of nighttime programming here on 88.1 FM WESU Middletown. By day, WESU offers talk radio from NPR and Pacifica, as well as independent and local public affairs sources. Weeknights and weekends our student and community volunteers bring you the best in free-form programming.

I'm JCherry producer and host of VOICE of the CITY,Tuesday from 8-9PM, Showcasing live and local music, arts, and culture., Thanx for tuning in! I’m sure you are probably getting tired of hearing us asking listeners for donations. Believe me, I too would love to have this pledge drive in the rear view mirror. However, you can’t simply wish the drive away! We actually need real donations from real WESU listeners to continue to operate.  If you listen to WESU enough to have a favorite show or to be critical of something you heard on air, then we need to hear from you. Have you ever won a ticket to a concert from WESU? Have you ever heard a new song or idea on WESU that resonated with you? Do you appreciate hearing about local bands and events on the radio?  If so, how’s about supporting this service with a donation today. We still need to raise over $15K by the year’s end and are counting on listener like you to give the gift of community radio this holiday season. Please donate online at www.wesufm.org/pledge
