Weds 1-3-18 Jive

Good evening, it's Wednesday, January 2nd Happy NEW YEAR!! This is the Jive at Five, our daily community calendar and rundown of nighttime programming here at 88.1 FM WESU Middletown. By day, WESU offers talk radio from NPR and Pacifica, as well as independent and local public affairs sources. Weeknights and weekends our student and community volunteers bring you the best in free-form programming.
I'm Bill Denert, producer and host of Thursday night's Evening Jazz where "hearing is the best experience" and Connecticut's number 1 Washington Nationals fan! Thanx for joining us!

Also, thanks so much to those in the WESU community who value the service we provide by supporting our pledge drives. Our Fall/Winter pledge drive was a nail biter though the very end when we scraped by with a small windfall of last minute donations. If you missed the opportunity to give during recent pledge drive, never fear, we still need your help! Money raised beyond our goal will help WESU celebrate 80 years of engaging, provocative, and daring radio!  www.wesufm.org/pledge
