In New Haven, at Café Nine tonight, can enjoy Robert Gordon,
and The Tommy’s. The Friday Happy Hour set at 5pm features Sean Colon, and the
Friday night late show features The Let Loose, Art of Huckleberry, and
Southwind Social Club. Saturday’s afternoon Jazz Jam Session at 4pm is with
Mike Coppola and Friends, followed by the Saturday evening main event with
Gutter Demons and Diablogato. The Sunday Buzz Matinée features the Tony Purrone

Up in Hartford at Black-Eyed Sally’s tonight, you can catch Liviu’s
International with special guests. Rock Solid Alibi takes the stage on Friday

The Russell Library in Middletown holds a Teen Volunteer
Orientation session this evening and tomorrow brings the First Fridays Book
Discussion this week, happening offsite at the RaMa Luna Center for Yoga and
Wellbeing. This month’s selection is “Super Better” by Jane McGonigal.
Mindfulness Meditation happens Saturday morning, and Rex the Dinobrarian will
be in the lobby to celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day. Check the

The Wesleyan Center for the Arts in Middletown sponsors an
Opening Reception at the East Asian Studies Gallery for “Sound of Korea,” with
video and photographs by artist Young-Il Kim on this evening. There’s a free

exhibit, and on Sunday Elite Syncopation performs “The Jazz Age Begins,” with

temporary boutique featuring products by local artisans, open through Saturday
this week at their Whitney Street location. Charlie Fisher is performs at
Spectra Wired Café right about now, starting at 5 pm. The Hanging Hills Brewery
invites you to experience The Forest Room on tonight; it’s a music project with
sonic vision. You can also enjoy a performance by Gentle Temper at the Hog
River Brewing Company in Hartford tonight. Little River Restoratives hosts an
Off the Record Indie Night at 9:30 pm this evening. The Polish National Home in
Hartford holds a night of comedy with Pierogies & Punchlines Friday at 7
pm. The Sarah Rose Trio performs at Hanging Hills on Friday, along with Frank
Brocklehurst & Blessings Divine. The Connecticut Historical Society sponsors
a Valentines & Love Letters kids’ event on Saturday at 10 am. The Sam
Newsome Quartet performs at the Hartford Public Library on Sunday at 3 pm in
their ongoing Baby Grand Jazz series. The Connecticut Science Center in

Walter’s 20th Congress to the College Street Music Hall in New Haven, on

Infinity Hall in Hartford brings you Arrival from Sweden,

Spotlight on Ability Unified Theater presents its production of One World, One

Hartford’s Real Art Ways continues “Free Solo,” through Feb
7th. its a documentary about climbing El Capitan without a rope. On Friday they
open “The Invisibles,” a German docudrama about four real-life Jews hiding in
plain sight in WWII Berlin. Also opening at Real Art Ways on Friday is The

Tonight, Trinity College’s Cinestudio in Hartford opens “Mary Queen of Scots,” a film about the 16th century rivalry between Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth.
