The Buttonwood Tree
in Middletown tonight hosts singer/songwriter Kerri Powers. The Aligned with
Source Workshop happens Saturday at 10:30 am. On Sunday it’s comedy with Cloud

Haven's Cafe Nine Friday
Wind Down Happy Hour features Lynn Malavolte, followed by a concert to benefit
The International Institute of Connecticut which serves refugees and
immigrants. Artists include Witch Hair, Sam Carlson, Bilge Rat, and more.
Saturday’s Jazz Jam Session is with Mike Coppola and Friends, and the late show
headlines Lea and Swamp Yankee. The Sunday Buzz Matinee theme is Songbirds and
Songwriters and includes Lara Herscovitch, Kate Callahan, and Caroline Doctorow.
They finish out the weekend with the late show bringing you Thelma and The
Sleaze, and Nightbloom.

Webber starring Terry Barber. The Outlaws, Beatlemania, and Amy Helm perform at

can enjoy the City of Middletown’s Fireworks Festival this Saturday starting at
6 pm from 2 locations, the Municipal Building on DeKoven Drive and Harbor Park
along the river. There’s music, food & ice cream vendors, and children’s

Kings, Sweet Daddy Cool Breeze with Jaimoe of the Allman Bros. Band, and the

Hartford’s Real Art Ways continues the run of
Dawson City: Frozen Time, rare silent
films from the early 20th century found buried in a Canadian Gold Rush town. Today
at 5:30pm they open Monterey Pop, a
documentary celebrating the 50th anniversary of this iconic Summer of Love
concert, and their matinee is The Wedding
Plan about wedding plans that take a turn and twist. Both run beyond the

Right after the Jive At Five from 5:05 to 7pm, it'll be Free
Talk Radio with Deni and Al Robinson addressing news, politics,
entertainment & weather and featuring listeners’ call-ins.
At 7 until 8:30pm we have the Universal Sound Wave with Sistah Tee - offering listeners a wide
range of music including African, reggae, gospel, R&B, Latin, and blues.
Plus health, nutrition, and stress reduction tips.
Next up until 10pm, we take it From the Otherside with Rok-A-Dee where 60% of the show is love songs of different genre and the others Reggae Dancehall, R&B, and new artiste.
Then from 10 to 11:30pm it's Strickly Off the Head where DJ Commotion the Music Mixologist provides a live mixshow done on the fly or freestyle, with no pre-planned mixes or blends - R&B, old school, hip hop, rap and house.

The Hour of Slack from The Church of the SubGenius Radio Ministry covers the
hour from 4 to 5am with a compendium of the best and newest from all SubGenius
radio & stage shows, bands, ranters, media barrage collage artists, plus
the weirdest of the indie audio underground.
And we bring in the daylight from 5:00 to
6:00am with the
BBC World News - a daily News roundup from the British Broadcasting Corporation,
and Pacifica
And staying on the other side of the big pond,
from 6 to 7am it’s
the Celtic Café with Pat
Laffan and Mark Gallagher presenting traditional and contemporary music with
a Celtic connection.
And now that the coffee’s hot enjoy CaffĂ© Italia from 7:00 to 8:00am, serving up a slice of Italy every Saturday
morning. You don't have to speak Italian to taste it: just relax, listen, and
