Hartford’s Real Art Ways continues the run of Dawson City: Frozen Time, rare silent films from the early 20th century found buried in a Canadian Gold Rush town. Today at 5:30pm they open Monterey Pop, a documentary celebrating the 50th anniversary of this iconic Summer of Love concert, and their matinee is The Wedding Plan about wedding plans that take a turn and twist. The Hour of Slack from The Church of the SubGenius Radio Ministry covers the hour from 4 to 5am with a compendium of the best and newest from all SubGenius radio & stage shows, bands, ranters, media barrage collage artists, plus the weirdest of the indie audio underground.

And we bring in the daylight from 5:00 to 6:00am with theBBC World News - a daily News roundup from the British Broadcasting Corporation, and Pacifica

And staying on the other side of the big pond, from 6 to 7am it’sthe Celtic Café with Pat Laffan and Mark Gallagher presenting traditional and contemporary music with a Celtic connection.

Good evening, it's Monday June 26th. This is the Jive at Five, our daily community calendar and rundown of nighttime programming here on 88.1 FM WESU Middletown. By day, WESU offers talk radio from NPR and Pacifica, as well as independent and local public affairs sources. Weeknights and weekends our student and community volunteers bring you the best in free-form programming.

The Buttonwood Tree in Middletown hosts its Night Open Mic and Moments of Gratitude tonight. On Tuesday it’s Empowering Yoga at 1 pm. On Friday singer/songwriter Kerri Powers takes the stage. The Aligned with Source Workshop happens Saturday at 10:30 am. On Sunday it’s comedy with Cloud 9 Improv & Friends. The Hearing Voices Network meets Monday at 10:30 am.
