In Middletown at The Buttonwood Tree tonight at 8 The Free At Last Players present a new show: The Evolution of Trump? Can the Free At Last Players show our new President the light? Saturday at 10:30 am is Annaita Gandhy’s Aligned With Source Workshop. New Haven's Cafe Nine features Tuesday Saints for this
evening's 5pm early set. Later at 9:30 the main event features Sidestep
Complex, Sky Swamp Orange, Drop Kick Pop, and Eugene Gallagher. Saturday’s
weekly Jazz Jam Session is hosted by Tony DioGuardi and Friends. Saturday
night there’s an event called NHV Plays Leonard Cohen, where a collection of
New Haven's musical talents pay tribute to the late, legendary songwriter
Leonard Cohen. The Sunday Buzz Matinee at 4 brings the Sez Zion Jazz Band for a

At Toad’s
Place in New Haven tonight it's the Dean Ween Group. The Mike Dillon Band opens
that show. Saturday night, Toad’s presents a 50th Anniversary Celebration of
the Doors album, Riders on the Storm, featuring 10 bands on 2 stages. Details @ toadsplace.com
In
Hartford tonight at Black-Eyed Sally’s, 7 Below recreates the Phish concert
experience. Saturday, The Alchemists make for a night of positive hip hop,

Tonight,
Cherry Street Station in Wallingford presents Mystic Seahorse and Crazy Havoc

Hartford’s Real Art Ways has
extended their run of The Eagle Huntress,
through Jan. 26th. Tonight begins a run of Neruda, a
lavishly-mounted reimagining of the Nobel Prize-winning poet’s pursuit into
political exile, and notably marks his reunion with No star Gael García Bernal. Details & screening times at realartways.org
Trinity College’s
Cinestudio continues a run of a 4K restoration of the 1968 classic, The Lion in Winter, starring Katharine
Hepburn and Peter O’Toole. Sunday, there are 2 showings of Bolshoi Ballet: Sleeping Beauty (Live) at

Right after the Jive At Five
from 5:05 to 7pm, it'll be Al Robinson & Deni Young with Free
Talk Radio.
At 7 until
8:30pm we have the Universal Sound
Wave with Sistah Tee - offering listeners a wide range of music including
African, reggae, gospel, R&B, Latin, and blues. Plus health, nutrition, and
stress reduction tips.
Next up until 10pm, we take it From the Otherside with Rok-A-Dee where 60% of the show is love songs of different genre and the others Reggae Dancehall, R&B, and new artiste.
Then from 10 to 11:30pm it's Strickly Off the Head where DJ Cocomotion the Music Mixologist provides a live mixshow done on the fly or freestyle, with no pre-planned mixes or blends - R&B, old school, hip hop, rap and house.

From 3 until 5am you are taken to Wonderland with DJ Cheshire Cat, who has a song in his heart, a chemical imbalance in his head and a musical library at his fingers. From krautrock to post-rock, grunge to garage, novelty to New Romantic, punk to prog, Wonderland has a place for it.
And
we bring in the daylight from 5:00 to 6:00am with the
BBC World News
- a daily News roundup from the British Broadcasting
Corporation
And
staying on the other side of the big pond, from 6 to 7am it’s
the Celtic Café
with Pat Laffan and Mark Gallagher
presenting traditional and contemporary music with a Celtic connection.
