Good evening, it's Thursday, March 31st, and this is the Jive at Five, our daily community calendar and rundown of nighttime programming, here on 88.1 FM WESU Middletown. Now here's a rundown of what's happening in our area this week: Here in Middletown, at the Buttonwood Tree, tomorrow (Friday) evening it’s the First of April and  comedy rock band The Coconuts take the stage. On Saturday; it’s a morning class of Transitional Tai Chi followed by the Aligned  with Source mediation, this week guided by spiritual and holistic healer Annaita Gandhy.  Saturday afternoon brings the International Beat Poetry Festival to the Buttonwood, and in the evening you can catch a MASTER CLASS: with Danny Green Trio on playing Brazilian rhythms in a jazz context. The Danny Green Jazz Trio will conclude the evening with a show at the Buttonwood Tree. On Sunday, it’s the Great Make Believe Society Improv Show. The International Women’s Day Art Show is on display for the month of March. Up in Hartford at Real Art Ways, tonight you can catch the final showing of  Requiem for the American Dream, wherein, leftist social critic Noam Chomsky discusses how the concentration of wealth and power among a small elite has polarized American society and brought about the decline of the middle class. Also showing one last time this evening is, Michael Moore’s new film, Where To Invade Next, an exploration and confrontation of American values and mentalities. Opening tomorrow (Friday) are the films The Last Man on Earth, a documentary about Apollo astronaut Eugene Ceranand, and Songs My Brother Taught Me, director Chloe Zhao’s story about two Lakota siblings from the Pine Ridge Reservation attending Little Wound High School.
