practice your dancing in a low-key and friendly setting. Friday night

Every Monday night in Middletown, J-CHERRY hosts the ANYTHING GOES!” OPEN MIC WITH AT THE BUTTONWOOD TREE on Main Street.  Signups begin at 7:30pm. Performances start at 8:00pm.  Friday evening from 8-10 pm. Joe Flood will be performing with Joe Fonda on Upright bass and Scott Kessel, drumship enterprise!  Don’t miss this combination of rare musicians. Saturday night from 8-10pm jazz musician Dan Arcamone who has just released a new album, will be playing a mix from all three of his albums and jazz standards.  \

Food Not Bombs shares food about 1 pm in front of the Buttonwood Tree every Sunday. All ares welcome and invited to help prepare vegetarian food at the First Church on 190 Court Street at 11:30 am. Tonight down in New Haven, Rohn Lawrence and Friends make smooth jazz on the lily pad stage.  Tuesday The Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger will be playing at Toad’s Place at 7pm. Weds is dubstep night, Thursday Reggae Legend Beres Hammond will be performing on the main stage at Toads.  Friday Night Hip Hop Emcee Action Bronson will be headlining a show featuring local Hip Hop acts Duece Bug, Phenom and Rowdy City at 8pm.  Saturday night Fuel, VENREZ, Bad Axis and Progmaticmake for a night of loud Rock at Toads. Also down in New Haven tonight at 7:30 pm you can catch the Fistful of Jokes Comedy Series hosted by Andrew and Jerry Morgan. At 10pm the Nine Presents an Acoustic Open Mic w/ Miss Kriss. 
Tuesday Night Café nine at 8pm Everyone’s favorite former Texas gubernatorial candidate, political commentator and self-proclaimed “author, columnist, musician and beautician,” Kinky Friedman is going bipolar, as in Kinky Friedman’s Bi-Polar Tour.

At 8pm Wednesday Manic Productions Presents JEFF The Brotherhood w/ Uncle Bad Touch and 2 Ton Bug. the Brotherhood known as JEFF. Known for their relentless touring and their "we'll play anywhere" mentality, they have built a reputation for stripping rock music down to its basics, and delivering mind-bending live shows.  Thurday at 9pm Indie Rock band Baby Grand Perform w/Fightwinner.

On Friday Night TACO HUT MUSIC Presents The Proud Flesh; Speakeasy; Heads With Wings; and White Walls. Café nine’s Saturday afternoon Jazz Jam will be hosted by Gary Grippo and Friends this week. Saturday Night brings the Idiot Village Rock Lottery; Musicians thrown together by fate and given two weeks to get their act together and perform live.

at 8:00 Lord Lewis presents:  the Rumpus Room for 90 minutes of scorching
vintage and contemporary heavy funk, soul, club jazz, reggae, ska, afro and
Latin dance floor grooves.

At 9:30 Tom Gatzen presents a 2 hr weekly does of loud and heavy music on
Aaargh!!

From 11:30 - 1:00 Anvil Isle presents a musical monsoon of alternative rock,
blues, dream, funk, hard rock, indie, punk, reggae, surf, and world music
inviting you to bury your feet in the sand and hear the waves come crashing
through your speakers.

From 1-3:00 Psychedelic Rick presents the late night Summer Concert Series
featuring live concerts in their full glory. Tonight’s program features
Legendary New London Rockers,  The Reducer recorded live @ The 2011 Daffodil Fest. This is in Honor of Steve Kaika, bassist for the Reducers who sadly
passed away last week on June 12.  Following that,  Rick celebrates Father’s
day with the Mother with Frank Zappa and the Mothers’ Live in concert @ The
Filmore East in June 1971.

From 3-4am Maximum Rock and Roll Radio features an hour of international
loud rock and punk. The BBC World News Service kicks on at 4AM and we begin tomorrow's broadcast at 5am with Morning Edition from NPR.
