The Durham Farmers' Market is open every Thursday on the Town Green on Main St,  from 3 to 6:30 pm, through September. The longstanding Middletown Farmers’ Market at the South Green is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 1 pm through October. The Middletown North End Farmers Market is open 10 am to 2 pm every Friday and is located at the corner of Liberty and Main Streets in Middletown.

Lyle Lovett and his Acoustic Group This Weekend at the Warner Theatre

Taking place at 5:30 this afternoon at Macdonough School in Middletown is "The Big Reveal". This is the culmination of 5 weeks of hard work, learning and fun for children in the Creative Arts Workshops of Kids Arts 2012 sponsored by the Middletown Commission on the Arts with programming by North End Arts Rising/The Buttonwood Tree folks. And on Friday, Aug. 3rd, the Middletown Commission on the Arts and Oddfellows Playhouse present the 24th Annual Children's Circus of Science. The talented young performers will bounce around like molecules in an atom, explore the elements of fire, earth, air and water, and of course there will be a mad scientist or two. The circus will explore a range of scientific subjects all the way from the dinosaurs and marine biology to string theory. Famous scientists -- or famous scientist clowns -- may also appear. ARTFARM presents Shakespeare Everywhere! The Compleate Work this Sunday, August 5th at 5pm in the Cedar Grove at Middlesex Community College in Middletown. The event, hosted by Chion Wolf, is the culmination of a month-long series of guerilla Shakespeare performances. Shakespeare scenes, monologues and songs plus live music and stories.  Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a picnic in the beautiful grove overlooking the Connecticut River Valley.
